Spinola Bay is found in the town of St Julians in the central part of Malta. Spinola Bay is one of the nicest places in Malta to go out and eat in Malta. The area is very scenic and has good vibes, and for those who love social media, it is also quite instagram-friendly. The best restaurants in Spinola Bay are Manouche Crafts Bakery and Bistro, Makis, Crust, Zen Portomaso, and Kuya.

Manouche Craft Bakery and Bistro

Manouche is a cute French bakery that sells everything. You can find a selection of amazing cakes and sweets to satisfy your sweet tooth, as well as food. When it comes to food I love their pasta, especially the house-made pappardelle, and I also love all of their bizzas. They provide their service with a smile and they are always really hospitable. Manouche opens every day at eight o’clock in the morning and it closes at ten o’clock in the evening from Tuesday to Saturday. However, on Sunday and Munday it closes at five o’clock in the evening.

If you are looking for yummy Greek food, Manakis is defiantly the way to go! At this Greek restaurant, you can eat awesome food while enjoying the view of the beautiful Spinola Bay. The food comes nicely presented and combined with the beautiful beach scenery, resulting in Manakis being a very Instagrammable location. The food is very good however it comes in smaller portions. Our favorite Greek food choices from Manakis are the Greek salad and Arni, which is a dish that contains charcoal grilled lamb. The staff at Manakis is amiable and always ready to help.

Crust Bistro and Bar

Crust is another one of our favorite restaurants in Spinola Bay. Here you can find something to eat regardless of what time it is during the day. From its mouth-watering eggs and benedict to its Chorizo Jalapeno pizza the food is amazing here and they also have delicious cocktails to go with it. Our personal favorite is the Rose Strawberry Gin and we think that you should defiantly give it a try! Crust is open every day from nine o’clock in the morning until three o’clock in the afternoon. Then it reopens at half past five in the afternoon and closes again at half past eleven in the evening every Monday to Friday and at midnight on the weekend.

Zen Portomaso

If you are a sushi lover like me, you should try this place since it has some of the best Japanese food on the island! Zen Portomaso is a nice restaurant and it also has an open plan which lets you watch the chefs as they make your food. Our favorite food from Zen is the delicious Hotategai Roru sushi roll and the flavourful main course Gyuniku no Teriyaki. They are open from Monday to Saturday from seven o’clock in the afternoon until eleven o’clock in the afternoon.

Kuya Asian Pub

Kuya is a Michelin restaurant where one can find delicious, flavourful, and authentic Asian food. The restaurant has a very cozy vibe where you can enjoy your time in good company or by yourself while eating tasty food at a reasonable price and enjoying the nice music in the background. Our top favorite picks from Kuya are the pork belly bao buns for starters and the Robata Octopus salad for the main course. Along with your meal, you can also enjoy your pick from the selection of craft beer that Kuya have available.
